FEES:
We offer the following flat-fees for uncontested family law matters:
Uncontested Dissolution without Children: $1,200
Uncontested Dissolution with Children: $1,500
Uncontested Paternity cases: $1,200
Uncontested Step-Parent Adoption: Varies (depends upon court location)
Uncontested Guardianships: Varies (depends upon court location)
The above schedule of fees includes filing fees, which are typically $100 - $200 and are set by the county where we file the case.
Flat fees mean flat fees, which is a great benefit to you! We don't charge you for every phone call, email or fax. We can meet with you once or ten times (or more!), and your fee will be the same. There are often extra costs as part of a dissolution, such as recording deeds, and those costs are built into our fees. An exception is with cases requiring a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO), which requires an extra charge of $400 (plus any fees required by the institution managing the retirement account).
PAYMENTS:
We accept a variety of payments, including cash, checks and online debit and credit cards. Please note that payment is required at the beginning of the case.
